I am a photographer, short-form video creator and writer.
Hi, I’m Ula. I hike to reach wild places with a camera strapped to my chest—and am equally happy sitting at a café with an americano, waiting for the right person to walk by. I've moved across this country and around the world, and I'm grateful for it. It taught me to look past what I know and what I'm comfortable with.
I grew up taking photos on my mom's camera and painting with her leftover supplies. I eventually went into design because I'm practical. But photography came first and it stuck. I have a busy mind—art is one of the ways I focus it.
I don't shoot only cities or only landscapes. The subject changes because what I'm chasing isn't a subject—it's a feeling. Awe, vastness, warmth, connection. When I imagine someone buying one of my images, I picture them finding a place for that feeling in their own home.
I write weekly on Substack about creative practice and the visual world. Prints and digital texture packs will be available Fall 2026. For photography, video, or writing projects, find more here.
Let’s work together.
I take on select commercial photography projects—particularly in architecture and interiors, food and hospitality, and editorial work. I also license images and write for brands and publications. If something here caught your eye or you have a project in mind, I'd love to hear about it.
